In partnership with PDSB, this program provides a structured learning environment to support at-risk female-identifying students’ individual academic, social, and emotional needs.
What can this program do?
This program decreases and eliminates barriers to educational achievement and participation while increasing options and providing opportunities to experience success in educational pursuits for at-risk female-identifying youth.
What services does this program provide?
A small, personalized learning space with an enhanced range of educational supports provided by an experienced teacher, in conjunction with our trauma-informed supportive staff team.
The program is individualized and flexible; providing a range of credit acquisition options, transitional services, and increased supports focused on improved student engagement, well-being, academic achievement, and skills attainment. Through strong mentorship and support, our dedicated team works side by side with students, as they respond to life challenges, to encourage safe and healthy decision making, nurture independence and life skill development, and advocate for and connect students with community supports and resources.
Who is eligible?
This program is for at-risk female identifying youth aged 13 to 17 who could benefit from educational and therapeutic programming and pro-social skill development.
