Ellen House – Emergency Shelter Beds supports women experiencing or at risk of homelessness by providing a safe place and a warm bed to those in need.
What can this program do?
This program aims to assist women through a trauma-informed, inclusive, and gender-responsive lens. Our client-focused approach strengthens emotional, cultural and social wellbeing through prevention, support, and advocacy.
What services does this program provide?
Ellen House Emergency Shelter Beds program provides safe and appropriate housing options in Greater Toronto. Ellen House provides basic needs such as healthy meals, clothing and shelter. Ellen House offers assistance in accessing permanent housing and in-house support services, including life skills training, counselling, employment, mental health and addiction resources and referrals to other community services.
Who is eligible?
Single women or those who identify as a women who are 25 years of age and older and experiencing homelessness in Peel Region.
