Empowering Against Exploitation (EAE)

EAE is a preventative, educational program to address sexual exploitation, online safety and sex trafficking in our community.

What can this program do?

This program educates female identifying youth about exploitation, increases knowledge to assist in identifying and avoiding potentially exploitative situations and provides a space for girls to find support and access much needed information and resources.

What services does this program provide?

EAE is run in a group format, consisting of 8-12 weekly sessions that run approximately 1-2 hours in length. The program focuses on topics such as understanding predators and recruitment, reducing your risk of exploitation, substance abuse and exploitation, developing self-esteem and a sense of value, healthy sexuality, healthy relationships, online safety and finding help and accessing supports and services.

Who is eligible?

Female identifying youth aged 12-24 who want to build protective factors, know more about their risks and sexual exploitation in their communities and neighbourhood, and for those who have been exploited.
